About Independent College

Independent College Dublin, established in 2007, has a history that began when the institution was founded by the Independent News & Media plc group to provide high-quality education in law and business. In that same year, the college opened its doors on Dawson Street in Dublin city centre, offering certificate, diploma, and degree courses to students seeking professional education in Ireland. Today, Independent College Dublin stands as one of Ireland's fastest-growing centres for law and business learning and is one of the largest private third-level colleges in Dublin. The college is located at its prime campus on Dawson Street in Dublin 2, situated in the centre of old Dublin's financial, cultural, entertainment, and shopping areas, on the edge of Silicon Docks. The college offers globally recognised, QQI-accredited programmes across Business and Law disciplines, ranging from Undergraduate Degrees (Level 8) to Postgraduate Masters (Level 9), including BA (Hons) in Business Studies, BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, BA (Hons) in Marketing, LLB (Hons) in Irish Law, and MA in Dispute Resolution.

Independent College Dublin maintains a global perspective, welcoming students from all around the world. Strong international connections offer numerous opportunities for pathway programmes through OnCampus Ireland, professional development courses, and employment. The college continues to make a positive impact by promoting accessible higher education opportunities, industry-connected learning, and active community involvement. With certificate, diploma, degree, and postgraduate programmes available alongside professional development courses, Independent College Dublin provides learners with flexible educational pathways that reflect current and emerging knowledge and practices relevant to both learners and employers in the fields of business and law.
