The Institute of Technology, Tralee, also known as IT Tralee, is a modern, dynamic college located in the scenic South West of Ireland offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business, Computing, Tourism, Hospitality, Multimedia, TV and Radio & New Media, Music Technology, Tourism, Early Childhood Learning, Engineering, General and Mental Health Nursing, Health & Leisure, Construction & Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy & Energy Management and Chemical & Life Sciences.

 The Institute’s mission is to "excel in teaching, research and development work, for the benefit of students, industry and the wider community."

IT Tralee is committed to maintaining a high level of research activity and to further developing its collaborative links with industry and with educational and research institutions internationally. Its strong links with external organisations and companies means that the Institute is delivering true competitive advantage to the business community.

 The Institute's two campuses are set amidst the beauty of Kerry. Located adjacent to Kerry Technology Park, IT Tralee has fostered close links with companies based in the park.

Since its inception in 2001, the shared campus has become a national role model and currently hosts a number of global companies and internationally recognised research centres.

All aspects of access and linkage have been designed to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge, skills, energy and imagination among students, researchers, lecturers and entrepreneurs.

 Its courses are characterised by choice and flexibility, career relevance, and the scope to provide all students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. The Institute offers a range of full-time and part-time courses from foundation level, through to certificate, degree, post-graduate and doctoral level. There is a world class programme of research to enhance the taught programmes at the Institute.

IT Tralee’s student population has a great diversity of backgrounds and cultures with over forty nationalities represented on campus.
